Report Abuse

How to report illegal, harmful or rule-breaking content or behaviour on XXXscroll, and what we do with your report.

Effective Date: Oct 15, 2026•Last Updated: Oct 15, 2026

1. Report immediately if you see

  • anyone who is, or may be, under 18 in sexual content, including drawn or animated characters who appear to be minors;
  • non-consensual content: hidden cameras, "revenge porn", deepfakes of real people, or people who could not consent;
  • threats of violence, trafficking or exploitation.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

2. How to report

  • On the content. Use the Report option on any post or comment and choose a reason:
  • spam;
  • child safety;
  • non-consensual content;
  • violence;
  • harassment;
  • illegal content;
  • copyright;
  • other.
  • No account needed for urgent reports. Spam and child-safety reports can be made without an account. Other reasons need you to be signed in, which helps us prevent abuse of the reporting tools.
  • By email. Write to [email protected] with the subject "Report", and include the URL(s), what is wrong, and, if you are the person shown, enough information for us to confirm that. You do not need to send us the illegal material itself; please only send links.
  • Copyright. Use the process in the Copyright & DMCA Policy.
  • Authorities. For child sexual abuse material, you can also report directly to NCMEC's CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org), the Internet Watch Foundation (iwf.org.uk), or your national hotline (inhope.org).

3. What happens after you report

  • Urgent reports (child safety, non-consensual or illegal content) go to the top of our moderation queue and are reviewed as a priority, normally within 24 hours. Content may be hidden right away while we review it.
  • Content confirmed as child sexual abuse material or other seriously illegal content is:
  • removed;
  • preserved under legal hold;
  • reported to NCMEC and/or the competent authorities.
  • The uploader. The uploading account is banned and its IP addresses may be blocked.
  • Other reports are reviewed as quickly as possible, normally within a few days.
  • When we act on your report, we decide based on our Acceptable Use Policy and the law. If you gave us contact details, we will let you know the outcome where we can. If you disagree with our decision, see the Complaints & Appeals Policy.
  • We keep the identity of people who report confidential. We do not tell the reported user who reported them, unless the law requires it (for example, copyright notices).

4. If you are shown in content without your consent

Email [email protected] with the URLs and, if possible, a way for us to confirm it is you. A selfie or ID is optional and we only use it for this purpose. We will remove non-consensual intimate content as quickly as possible, and take steps to stop it being uploaded again, including hash-blocking where available.

You can also use StopNCII.org to create hashes of your images, which participating platforms use to block them.

5. False reports

Knowingly false, malicious or repetitive reports break the Acceptable Use Policy and may lead to restrictions on your account.
